yeah, we can do that!

We love working with folks to figure out what kind of a custom Grimmleigh would make a great gift!  Sometimes folks know EXACTLY what they want....and sometimes they really only have the vaguest idea. 
Enter Blake, whose lovely wife is a big Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan.  Blake however, doesn't watch the show and didn't quite know what he was after.  Fortunately we here at Grimmleigh's Labs are HUGE Joss-Wedonites so we had plenty of ideas.  Originally Blake wanted a doll of his wife AS Buffy.  But Buffy doesn't really have a recognizable uniform or costume....so then we talked about doing her AS another slayer...and then we decided that it would be awesome to Vamp her out instead!!!  Nothing better than taking a pretty girl and making her all Vampy!!! 

 (we even put a little removable wooden stake in her hand for when she regains her soul and starts slayin')

Cephalopod Love

We're not ashamed to admit that we loves us some cartoons!  From the old classics like Looney Tunes to the Venture Brothers - we love animation!  (not surprising really)
One of our favorites is Futurama.  And as our love of cephalopods has been well documented (see our Squidleighs)  it's also no surprise that Dr. Zoidberg is our favorite character.

So, when our good friend Jefferson Viceroy requested a Dr. Zoidberg hat for a friend we were thrilled to oblige....
Thus our zoidberg hat/mask was born!
(comes with flip up eyes AND tentacles so that you can see/enjoy a libation)

The hats got pretty popular and we mad a bunch for Halloween. 
One even made it to the Daily Show Rally to Restore Sanity in Washington D.C!!!

We realized that we were not alone in our Zoidberg love and if it wasn't obvious already, another one of our customers ordered a Grimmleigh-fied Zoidberg for Christmas!

Custom Puppies!

These two pups are from a recent commission that turned out so sweet! We had a new challenge in that our instructions included props for the dogs. Penny is a bit of a scamp, and likes to run off with any bones that may have been given to the two dogs. Randy doesn't mind much, though, as long as he has his favorite snack! Randy loves bread, so we made a little loaf of bread out of polymer clay for him!

A little while ago, we hit 666 "likes" or "fans" on our Facebook page!  So, to celebrate and say thank you to our fans we decided to give a special Squidleigh to our six-hundred-and-sixty-sixth fan...Mr. John Shannon (Geek Show says "Hey")  Yes, there was a theme in mind!

Valentine's Day Preview! Itty Bitties to the Rescue!

We know it seems a little early, but after the Big Gift Giving Holiday, we've learned a valuable lesson about planning!
